Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of The Receipt by Unspyn, including the private beta experience, website, beta access flow, generated Receipt outputs, and related services (collectively, the Service). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About The Receipt

The Receipt by Unspyn is a private digital tool that generates a structured, personalized readout based on a specific moment of comparison, jealousy, longing, envy, resentment, shame, visibility fear, or emotional charge (a sting) that you submit. The Receipt is designed to produce a private interpretive output for personal reflection. It is not therapy, coaching, psychiatric care, medical treatment, mental-health counseling, crisis intervention, legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for professional or licensed care of any kind. Nothing generated by The Receipt should be treated as professional advice.

2. Private Beta Access

The Receipt may be offered as a controlled private beta. Access may require an invitation, access code, or other beta approval. Unspyn may limit, pause, revoke, modify, or terminate beta access at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. Beta features, outputs, and availability may change or function differently as we test and improve the product. Access codes are issued to specific testers. You may not share, sell, transfer, or misuse a beta access code.

3. Eligibility and User Representations

The Receipt is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. The Service is not intended for children or minors. If you are under 18, do not use The Receipt. By using The Receipt, you also represent and warrant that: (a) you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms; (b) you will use The Receipt only for lawful, personal purposes; and (c) your use will not violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.

4. Not a Crisis Resource

The Receipt is not designed or equipped to provide crisis support, emergency intervention, or immediate safety assistance. If you are experiencing an emergency, are in danger, or are concerned that you or someone else may be at risk of harm, stop using The Receipt and contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis resource immediately.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use The Receipt only for lawful, personal purposes. You agree not to: submit content that threatens, harasses, exploits, or harms any person; submit content involving active crisis, self-harm intent, or immediate danger; attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service or its underlying systems; use the Service to generate, process, or distribute abusive, deceptive, unlawful, or harmful content; use outputs for commercial or public distribution without written permission from Unspyn; or impersonate another person or input another person's private information without their consent.

6. Your Submissions

When you use The Receipt, you may submit a written sting, prompt, or other input. You are responsible for the content you submit. You should not submit information you do not have the right to share, and you should avoid including identifying details about third parties that could expose them to harm. You retain ownership of your own submitted input. By submitting, you grant Unspyn a limited, non-exclusive license to process your submission to generate your Receipt output and, consistent with our Privacy Policy, to create and retain sanitized product-quality signals for beta improvement purposes. Unspyn will not publicly display your private submission or associate your identity with your submission in any external-facing context. Our handling of submitted content is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Generated Outputs

The Receipt may generate a personalized output based on your submission using an AI system. Generated outputs are for personal insight and informational use only. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unexpected. Outputs are not professional advice, are not a diagnosis, and do not constitute a recommendation of any kind. You are solely responsible for how you interpret or act on any Receipt output. The Receipt does not make decisions on your behalf and does not guarantee any particular result, outcome, or effect.

8. Feedback and Product Improvement

During the beta, Unspyn may collect feedback, ratings, usage signals, timestamps, prompt version information, access-code usage, and related product-quality data to evaluate accuracy, usefulness, safety, quality, and brand consistency. Where possible, Unspyn evaluates sanitized signals and aggregate metrics rather than raw private submissions. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

9. Intellectual Property

The Unspyn name, The Receipt by Unspyn name, product structure, branding, interface, copy, system design, output format, visual design, prompt architecture, and related materials are owned by Unspyn or its founders and operators. You may use your own generated Receipt output for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, resell, sublicense, package, train AI models on, or commercialize the product, system, brand, format, prompt design, or output structure without written permission from Unspyn. Nothing in these Terms transfers any Unspyn intellectual property rights to you.

10. Availability and Changes

The Receipt is provided on an evolving basis. Unspyn may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Unspyn may also update these Terms at any time. Continued use of The Receipt after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. No Warranties

The Receipt is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, secure, or available at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Unspyn and its owners, operators, and service providers disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. This disclaimer applies to all content, including AI-generated outputs.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Unspyn and its owners, operators, contractors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages of any kind, including loss of data, loss of business, or loss of profits, arising from your use of or inability to use The Receipt, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In jurisdictions that do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, some of the above may not apply.

13. Third-Party Services

The Receipt relies on third-party platforms, hosting providers, AI systems, database providers, and other service providers. Unspyn is not responsible for third-party interruptions, policies, actions, or failures. Links to third-party websites or services do not constitute endorsement.

14. Termination

Unspyn may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we determine that you have violated these Terms, misused the product, created risk, or used the Service in a manner inconsistent with the private beta.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of The Receipt will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

16. Entire Agreement; Severability; Waiver

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Unspyn regarding your use of The Receipt. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Unspyn's failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

17. Assignment

Unspyn may assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them at any time. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without Unspyn's written consent.
